Suggestion for Atlas of Discovery Expansion
If AoDAtlas of Discovery Expansion is owned, it is highly recommended you get a Ring of Malice (m) at this point in the game.<br>
It is the best in slot Ring (occasionally shared with Ring of Power) and will remain relevant till the very end of TotHThrone of the Herald. <br>
The only times it is a bad choice for the Ring slot is in Barrier content.

This Ring does not require you to active any Unholy Prayers to be good, the debuff it applies on it's own is very good. It also does not consume any Prayer Points to use.

Low Death Chance or Manual Eating
Grinding our Ancient Armour takes quite a while, so here is an alternative to grinding the set.
This setup is NOT risk free, there is a 6% death chance (resulting in 0.3 deaths per hour) using this setup.<br>
You can negate this death chance by monitoring the kill and manually eating when your life falls too low..<br>
When manual eating, the timing of when you eat is quite important. You have to pay attention to when the enemy will do it's next attack but also when your next attack is going to be. You want to eat before the enemy strikes right after you hit. This will result in the least amount of time lost, as eating will reset your attack gauge.

Alternatively you can get Damage Reduction Potion IV to make it 100% safe, this can be obtained through Herblore, Damage Reduction Potion IV will also be required. <br>
You can also get these potions from Cartography, this will require Cartography and visiting (31.17)The Sand-Covered Treasure on the map.

As soon as you obtain 2 Aeris God Armour pieces (That are not the gloves) equip those instead of the (G) Rune Armour, this will make the death chance negligible (less than 0.1%) and you should be able to idle the rest.

This will allow you to skip farming Ancient Armour and Dragon Armour.

Gear to Idle
There are 2 ways suggested for this Dungeon, first one is the Idle method listed here, the second is the Manual Alternative Option. The second option will require you to manual eat the dungeon a few times before you can idle it.

Due to the Combat Triangle, it's recommended to beat the Air God Dungeon with Melee because the enemies here are Ranged and .

The rest of this guide is NOT for your first clear, your average clear, or even your first 100 clears. This is purely to maximize scrolls for any missing items. This will assume 99 in all skills, access to nearly all weapons and items in the game, and access to all DR and HP pets. This assumes you are (unless otherwise noted) using an optimal Agility setup, are using your best dps prayers, your best summoning synergy, and are using Diamond Luck Potion IV

Melee
This clocks in roughly 32 scrolls per hour, depending on your Astrology bonuses. Since this build uses Big ol Ron which grants +100% item doubling, there is no need for any additional doubling, so this build maximizes dps at no cost!

This build is the simplest to accomplish, and what most players will lean towards.

This clocks in roughly 20-21 scrolls per hour, depending on if you have access to Shield of Melee Power, and depending on your Astrology bonuses

Tidal Edge, and/or Fury of the Elemental Zodiacs paired with Fighter Amulet in passive slot, may be slightly faster depending, again, on your Astrology bonuses. This should be checked for yourself in Combat Sim

Standard Mode only, the Hardcore/Adventure combat triangle advantages make this build unusable.
Ancient Relics Guide
On top of no Pets, Astrology or Potions this guide will also assume no Relics, unless mentioned otherwise.

Much like any other dungeon up to now, Manual Eating will be required.

The goal is to clear this dungeon once for now, Earth God Dungeon needs to be cleared to be able to wear God Equipment if you followed the recommended Dungeon order.

This build uses or (reduced rune cost), , and .
For this dungeon. Watch out for Aeris Cyclone attack, it hits 7 times for quite heavy damage, be sure to smash your Eat button.

To use this method, you need to have 1090 HP and 48 DR. This is achieved by using Agility instead of Agility. Any other method to get you to survive Aeris's stun is usable, but going to cost you more than 3% damage.
Melee
This clocks in around 26 scrolls per hour, depending slightly on your Astrology bonuses
This is a Ranged dungeon, Melee is highly recommended for this dungeon because of the Combat Triangle. Magic will just get slaughtered in this dungeon.

The clear speed of Adamant Armour and Rune Armour is about the same at about 20 minutes. <br>

(G) Rune Helmet uses roughly 345 Lobster for a single clear.

It is highly suggested you obtain either a Sunset Rapier or Ancient Claw for this dungeon.

Once Earth God Dungeon has been cleared it is generally recommended to go back to Air God Dungeon and collect a full set of Aeris God Armour to enable later idling of Water God Dungeon and Earth God Dungeon to obtain their respective God Equipment.

Gear
Agility will be assumed for this and future Dungeons. If this Skill Cap Increase has not been obtained, idling this dungeon will not be possible without a pretty high Death Chance.

3 different God Armour pieces will need to be obtained to safely idle this dungeon. Assuming 3 different pieces were not obtained from the first 3 God Dungeon clears, Air God Dungeon has to be cleared with Manual Eating until 3 different pieces are obtained. One of these pieces has to be a pair of Gloves, the other pieces do not matter what they are.

The other 2 Equipment slots may be filled with either Adamant Armour or Rune Armour.
* With Rune Armour Agility will suffice.
* With Adamant Armour the Pets Finn and Leonardo will also be required.

Both options have a negligible Death Chance of around 0.0012 per hour. This completely disappears with a 4th piece of God Armour.

Ancient Claw can be used instead of the Sunset Rapier for a minor (0.3) clear per hour increase.

This setup has an estimate clear rate of 4 Dungeons per hour. <br>

Why Clear Air God Dungeon?

According to the simulator (1) and simulator (2):

 • On average it will take 69 clears of the dungeon to get the full Aeris Armour set. (1)
 • If you want the full Armour set, then you need to clear the dungeon 91 times for 75% of that happening or 192 times for 95%. (2)
 • If you want the full set and Stormsnap, then it's 277 times for 75% and 576 times for 95%.

Suggestion for Atlas of Discovery Expansion

If Atlas of Discovery Expansion is owned, it is highly recommended you get a Ring of Malice (m) at this point in the game.
It is the best in slot Ring (occasionally shared with Ring of Power) and will remain relevant till the very end of Throne of the Herald.
The only times it is a bad choice for the Ring slot is in Barrier content.

This Ring does not require you to active any Unholy Prayers to be good, the debuff it applies on it's own is very good. It also does not consume any Prayer Points to use.

Standard Guide

Low Death Chance or Manual Eating

Grinding our Ancient Armour takes quite a while, so here is an alternative to grinding the set. This setup is NOT risk free, there is a 6% death chance (resulting in 0.3 deaths per hour) using this setup.
You can negate this death chance by monitoring the kill and manually eating when your life falls too low..
When manual eating, the timing of when you eat is quite important. You have to pay attention to when the enemy will do it's next attack but also when your next attack is going to be. You want to eat before the enemy strikes right after you hit. This will result in the least amount of time lost, as eating will reset your attack gauge.

Alternatively you can get Damage Reduction Potion IV to make it 100% safe, this can be obtained through Herblore Level 90, Level 90 will also be required.
You can also get these potions from Cartography, this will require Cartography Level 90 and visiting (31.17) The Sand-Covered Treasure on the map.

Disclaimer: Gem slot is not required but recommended.

A very good alternative (which is actually a lot better than Infernal Claw) is Pure Crystal 2H Axe.
This requires Smithing Level 99, Mining Level 95, Crafting Level 85, Cartography Level 80, Archaeology Level 90.

Gear to Idle

There are 2 ways suggested for this Dungeon, first one is the Idle method listed here, the second is the Manual Alternative Option. The second option will require you to manual eat the dungeon a few times before you can idle it.

Due to the Combat Triangle, it's recommended to beat the Air God Dungeon with Melee because the enemies here are Ranged and Melee.

The following build can idle the dungeon with Hitpoints Level 90 (+30 HP from Dragonfire Shield for 930 HP total), and is suitable for Standard, Hardcore, and Adventure Game Modes. Check your own setup with the Combat Simulator or Can I Idle to be sure that you won't die. While Aeris' standard attack is higher than your Auto Eat threshold, it will never use a standard attack due to it having a 100% chance to use one of four special attacks.

Disclaimer: Gem slot is not required but recommended.

With more HP, you can start trading DR for Chance to Double Items and plain DPS, for example, with the same build, at 1,090 HP, you could equip a Chapeau Noir and an Elite Amulet of Glory in their respective slots.

Also worth noting that it is possible to manually clear the dungeon at lower HP levels and equip the resulting Boots and Gloves to begin idling a bit earlier.

The Sandstorm Ring is very powerful and will certainly help clear speeds if you have no external buffs. However, be aware that with enough extra Melee levels, better equipment, or buffs from Agility, Astrology, Herblore, Summoning, or Prayer, the Sandstorm Ring may actually become a detriment to how fast you clear the dungeon.

There are two alternative ring choices:

Weapon Choice

This table plots some Combat Simulator results adjusted by the time it takes to produce all of the required consumables with some assumptions made about the exact bonuses available for each skill.

You can view the spreadsheet here. Make a copy to tailor the resource values to match your own, there is also a column on each table that allows you to input your own Sim results. (link)

Weapon Adjusted Scrolls/hr % Increase compared to Previous Weapon.
Dragon Sword 2.80 0%
Dragon Claw 2.84 1.6%
Sunset Rapier 3.43 17.1%
Ancient Claw 3.70 7.4%
Infernal Claw 4.03 8.1%

If you have the Atlas of Discovery Expansion, a very good alternative is Pure Crystal 2H Axe which requires you to have pretty high non-combat levels.
It is slightly worse than Infernal Claw for this dungeon (0.3-0.4 chests per hour worse) and requires Smithing Level 99, Mining Level 95, Crafting Level 85, Archaeology Level 90 and Cartography Level 80.
It however does not require you to grind any Ancient Claw Fragment which will save you a lot of time.

The usual food expenditure is 150,000 HP to 200,000 HP per hour.

Ideally, you want to get 10 Infernal Cores from the Infernal Stronghold and farm the Dragon Claw and Ancient Claw to make the Infernal Claw.
Check the Infernal Stronghold/Guide to farm it most efficiently. You should be able to idle everything inside except for Malcs.

Maximized Farming

The rest of this guide is NOT for your first clear, your average clear, or even your first 100 clears. This is purely to maximize scrolls for any missing items. This will assume 99 in all skills, access to nearly all weapons and items in the game, and access to all DR and HP pets. This assumes you are (unless otherwise noted) using an optimal Agility setup, are using your best dps prayers, your best summoning synergy, and are using Diamond Luck Potions

This clocks in roughly 32 scrolls per hour, depending on your Astrology bonuses. Since this build uses Big ol Ron which grants +100% item doubling, there is no need for any additional doubling, so this build maximizes dps at no cost!

Consumables:

Disclaimer: Gem slot is not required but recommended.

For this dungeon. Watch out for Aeris Cyclone attack, it hits 7 times for quite heavy damage, be sure to smash your Eat button.

Melee

This is a Ranged dungeon, Melee is highly recommended for this dungeon because of the Combat Triangle. Magic will just get slaughtered in this dungeon.

The clear speed of Adamant Armour and Rune Armour is about the same at about 20 minutes.
Adamant Armour uses roughly 1000 Lobster for a single clear.
Rune Armour uses roughly 345 Lobster for a single clear.

It is highly suggested you obtain either a Sunset Rapier or Ancient Claw for this dungeon.

Idle 2nd Stage Guide

Once Earth God Dungeon has been cleared it is generally recommended to go back to Air God Dungeon and collect a full set of Aeris God Armour to enable later idling of Water God Dungeon and Earth God Dungeon to obtain their respective God Equipment.

Seeing as idling is suggested for this section, requirements for Agility have to be introduced to meet the Health and Damage Reduction thresholds.
Cartography Point of Interests will also be introduced.
Some adjustments with and without certain Pets are introduced as well.

Gear

Agility Level 50 will be assumed for this and future Dungeons.

It will also use roughly 1,450 Lobster per hour.

Using Minotaur SynergyIcon.png Dragon has an increase of 0.8 clears per hour.
