Idle Gear
Idle Gear
* Note that if you are consistently running gear on the right hand side of the table, you may need to check your setup with the Combat Sim mod. You may also need to squeeze in more dr through the use of Yak synergies and using Stone Skin instead of Battleborn.
* This setup was tweaked to be able to idle Spider Queen at reasonable levels & gear. Optimizing the kills per hour is too dependent on your stats and available gear, use the Combat Simulator to find what is optimal for you. This setup clears around 7.5 Lair of the Spider Queen per hour.
* Corundum Crossbow performs better than Shockwave. If you are unable to obtain the Divine Crossbow, use the highest level crossbow you can obtain.
* Corundum Crossbow performs better than Shockwave. If you are unable to obtain the Divine Crossbow, use the highest level crossbow you can obtain.
* Use Damage Reduction Potion IV for 10% extra DR.
* If you are unable to obtain Meteorite Bolts, use the highest level bolts you can obtain.
* If you are unable to obtain Meteorite Bolts, use the highest level bolts you can obtain.
* If you are using all the gear from the first column, you will have a tiny chance of death, around 0.006 deaths/hour. For maximum safety, you can replace Avidity with Holy Aegis for there to be no chance of death. Note that this reduces kills/hour by a considerable amount (around 1.5).
* If AoDAtlas of Discovery Expansion is owned, you can replace Fervor Scroll for Power Crystals and/or replace Glacia God Gloves for Eradicating Gloves (m) for quite substantially increased kph.

* For complete safety in hardcore mode, use all the gear from the first column, but:
* For complete safety in hardcore mode, apply the following changes:
** Replace Ring of Power with Palladium Runestone Ring. Make sure it is in your passive slot and not your ring slot.
** Level Hitpoints to 120
** Replace Leviathan Shield with (P) Divine Shield to remove the RNG element from your DR.
** Gather the following Pets Leonardo, Erran, Finn, Kiko.
* You should have at least 94% damage reduction with 1220 HP (12200 in adventure mode), with Wasteful Ring and Palladium Runestone Ring in your passive slot (since it has -1% DR, but when in the passive slot, you do not lose 1% DR)
** Replace Ring of Power with Palladium Runestone Ring. Make sure it is in your passive slot and not your ring slot since it has -1% DR, but when in the passive slot, you do not lose 1% DR.
** Replace (P) Corundum Shield with (P) Augite Shield.
** Replace Glacia God Gloves with (U) Elderwood Vambraces.
Always make sure to double-check your setup in the Combat Simulator. <br>

Revision as of 11:48, 25 May 2024

This page was last updated for (v1.2.2).
This article is about the suggested way to complete Lair of the Spider Queen. For the dungeon itself, see Lair of the Spider Queen.

Why Idle This?

Dungeon Mechanics

Like most dungeons, Lair of the Spider Queen has many weaker enemies before sending the strongest enemy at you, which in this case is Spider Queen. Normally, you would pick a specific combat style to fight the enemies to get the full advantage of the combat triangle, but in this dungeon, you can't. The Spider Queen has a unique mechanic where they will have a random combat triangle each time. Similarly, the 19 weaker enemies before it are randomised in a way which again, makes the combat styles random. This part isn't very important since the heavy hitter in the dungeon is the last enemy. Since the random combat style gimmick is the only reason this dungeon is difficult to many, it is actually rather simple to manually clear.

Stats and Buffs

Minimum Recommended Levels

Defence Level 100
Ranged Level 110
Prayer Level 110
Hitpoints Level 111

Recommended Buffs

Astrology

As many combat bonuses from Astrology constellations are recommended, but not required. In total, Astrology serves as a massive buff to combat and will make the fight easier. The main bonuses are:

Agility

If your Agility is not above level 99 you'll need Hitpoints Level 113 and swap Battleheart for Stone Skin to safely idle this dungeon.

Idle Gear

This particular build only works in standard mode. This exact setup is not completely safe in hardcore or adventure mode due to the harder Combat Triangle

Always make sure to double-check your setup in the Combat Simulator.
