Level 1-15: Mine either {{ItemIcon|Tin Ore}} or {{ItemIcon|Copper Ore}}. Ideally in equal amounts so you later smelt {{ItemIcon|Bronze Bar|Bronze Bars}} from them.

Level 15-30: {{ItemIcon|Iron Ore}}.

Level 30-50: {{ItemIcon|Coal Ore}}. Don't sell it because you will need a lot of it for {{Skill|Smithing}}.

Level 50-70: {{ItemIcon|Mithril Ore}}.

Level 70-80: {{ItemIcon|Adamantite Ore}}.

Level 80-99: {{ItemIcon|Runite Ore}}.

This page is up to date (v1.2.2).
This article is about training the Mining skill. For the skill itself, see Mining.

Training

It is recommended to use   Gem Gloves while leveling. They will provide a stream of gems that you can sell for profit. Keep   Emeralds for   Emerald Bolts and   Diamonds for   Diamond Luck Potions.

If you don't have money to buy   Gem Gloves, either sell   Mithril Ore, smelt and sell   Gold Bars, or get money through the   Fishing money-making method.

It is also recommended to use any Mastery Pool experience to increase the   Mastery level of nodes that you're about to mine to level 30. The   Mastery level of a node increases the Rock HP, greatly reducing the waiting time for the node to respawn. Later, it is more beneficial to save the pool experience for the Mastery pool bonuses.

Follow the list below. Mine   Copper Ore and   Tin Ore in approximately equal amounts for   Smithing, and keep all   Coal Ore for the same reason.

Level Ore
1-15   Copper Ore or   Tin Ore
15-30   Iron Ore
30-50   Coal Ore
50-80   Mithril Ore
80-100   Runite Ore
100-102     Corundumite Ore
102-105     Iridium Ore
105-108     Palladium Ore
108-112     Augite Ore
112-115     Meteorite Ore
115-120     Divinite Ore

We transition from   Mithril directly to   Runite because otherwise we stretch the mastery thin across the ores, which leads to more ore-respawn downtime, resulting in slower progression.
