Woodcutting

Mechanics

The amount of time each Woodcutting action takes can be reduced by 5-50% by purchasing axe upgrades, 15% by purchasing the   Master of Nature god upgrade, 15% with the   Woodcutting Skillcape (or 20% with the   Superior Woodcutting Skillcape), 6% while the   Stepping Stones obstacle is active, 3% with the   Elite Pillar of Expertise pillar, 2% with   Harold, 0.2 seconds for any trees with a   Mastery level of 99, and a further 0.3 seconds while the   Ent +   Eagle Synergy is active. The lowest possible action interval which may be reached with some of the lower level trees is 0.25 seconds.

Items Received

The player will sometimes receive items other than Logs while cutting trees. Each of these items is rolled separately, so it is possible to get multiple different items from the same action.

A single   Bird Nest can drop with a 0.5% chance while cutting any tree. The chance of receiving a nest and quantity of nests received can be increased in a number of ways, as listed on the Bird Nest page. If the   Ent +   Monkey Synergy is active, there is a 35% chance that the nest will instead be replaced with a random item of silver or gold jewellery.

Raven Nests can drop with a 3% while cutting any tree requiring at least   Level 100. This drop chance may only be increased with the   Clue Chasers Insignia, while the quantity dropped can be increased by the same bonuses which affect   Bird Nest drop quantities.

A single   Ash may drop while cutting any tree, provided the   Meteorite Axe upgrade has been purchased, or either the   Meteorite Woodcutting Amulet or   Meteorite Woodcutting Ring are equipped, all of which increase the drop chance by 2%.

If the   Crown of Madremonte is equipped,   Mushrooms may drop at a 5% chance from any Woodcutting action.

With the final star of the   Deedree (requires     Level 99),   Stardust may drop with up to a 5% chance while cutting   Magic Logs, the quantity of Stardust being the same as the number of logs received.

Additionally, the   Ent +   Mole Synergy grants a 5% chance for a random normal Gem to drop.
