Mechanics
Increasing Max Hitpoints
For each Hitpoints level the player has, their maximum hitpoints will be increased by 10 in Standard and Hardcore mode, or by 100 in Adventure mode. The maximum hitpoints of 990 (or 9,900 in Adventure mode) is achieved at level 99.
There are also several other boosts which can increase the player's maximum hitpoints:
Name | Type | Boost |
---|---|---|
Dragonfire Shield | Equipment | +30 Maximum Hitpoints |
Nature's Blessing Ring | Equipment | +40 Maximum Hitpoints |
Finn, the Cat | Pet | +10 Maximum Hitpoints |
Mud Dive | Agility Obstacle | +20 Maximum Hitpoints |
Cliff Balance | Agility Obstacle | +20 Maximum Hitpoints |
Rocky Waters | Agility Obstacle | +50 Maximum Hitpoints |
Raft Building | Agility Obstacle | +20 Maximum Hitpoints |
Ice Jump | Agility Obstacle | +20 Maximum Hitpoints |
Total | +210 Maximum Hitpoints |
Hitpoints experience can be earned by dealing damage to Monsters. 0.133 XP is awarded per point of damage done to a monster. This experience can be increased by 4% by equipping the Gold Emerald Ring.
Recovering Hitpoints
Hitpoints are passively regenerated once every 10 seconds, with 1% of your max health being gained per interval by default. This can be increased with things providing a flat hitpoints regeneration bonus and/or a percentage based regeneration bonus. Percentage based regeneration bonuses are applied after flat regeneration bonuses, further increasing the potency of any flat regeneration bonuses in effect.
The amount of Hitpoints regenerated can be calculated as follows: [math]\displaystyle{ \text{HP Regenerated} = \left \lfloor \left ( \frac{\text{Player Maximum HP}}{100} + \text{Flat Regeneration Bonus} \right ) \times \left ( 1 + \frac{\text{% Regeneration Bonus}}{100} \right ) \right \rfloor }[/math]
Hitpoints may also be replenished by eating Food. Raising Hitpoints to Level 99 will unlock the HP Skillcape for purchase from the Shop.
Hardcore characters will not regenerate hitpoints passively and must eat in order to regain lost HP.
