It's recommended to beat the Water God Dungeon with Ranged equipment, since enemies here are Magical and Melee, due to the Combat Triangle.

In order to use ranged combat with a shield, you can't use a two-handed Bow, but you can use a Crossbow instead. Using Emerald Bolts with an
Ancient Crossbow is probably your best option right now, since
Diamonds are costly and useful for other things.
Also, it's worth mentioning Aorpheat's Signet Ring is often a preferred choice for your ring. If you haven't grinded
Fury of the Elemental Zodiacs yet, you could use
Silver Diamond Necklace instead, with the same DR% stat.
