* {{ItemIcon|Deadeye Amulet}} - Best-in-Slot for the {{Skill|Ranged}} combat style.
* {{ItemIcon|Stormsnap}} - Situationally useful, but almost mandatory for farming the {{ItemIcon|Ocean Song}} later.
* [[Glacia God Armour]] - Magic Best-in-Slot. Mandatory to idle {{ZoneIcon|Earth God Dungeon}}. You will need {{ItemIcon|Glacia God Gloves|qty=10|gloves}} to later upgrade them into the {{ItemIcon|Burning Madness Gloves}}.
* {{ItemIcon|Deadeye Ring}} - Same as with the gloves, you will need 10 of them to later upgrade into the {{ItemIcon|Poison Virulence Ring}}.

According to the [https://github.com/vbion/melvor-coupon-solver/ simulator]:
* If you want the full Armour set, then you need to clear the dungeon 91 times for 75% of that happening or 192 times for 95%.
* If you want the full set and {{ItemIcon|Stormsnap}}, then it's 277 times for 75% and 576 times for 95%.

To start with, begin by collecting the full set of {{ItemIcon|(G) Ancient Helmet|Ancient}} Melee gear from Volcanic Cave. A full set will provide 28% DR. Additionally, work on completing the {{ItemIcon|Dragonfire Shield}} or DFS for short. This provides 8% DR and 30 hitpoints, and is useful through the end of the game. I highly recommend grinding out the {{ItemIcon|Dragon Bones}} with {{Icon|Slicing Winds|type=spell}}. {{Icon|Green Dragon|type=monster}} is a good choice to farm {{ItemIcon|Dragon Bones}} because it has the lowest HP and dies very quickly. This dungeon is also completable with {{ItemIcon|(G) Ancient Shield}}, but you're gonna need to grab DFS at some point anyway. Why not now :D
Check your own setup with [https://silberdrachi.github.io/CanIIdle Can I Idle] to check if you meet the {{Skill|Hitpoints|HP}} requirements.

Additionally, make sure to complete {{ZoneIcon|Infernal Stronghold}} so that you can get {{ItemIcon|Infernal Cape}}, which increases DR to 4%.

You should have upgraded your melee weapon. {{ItemIcon|Dragon Claw}} is probably the minimum, though {{ItemIcon|Sunset Rapier}} is better. We would recommend grinding {{Icon|Pegasus|type=monster}} for {{ItemIcon|Ancient Claw Fragment}}s, as {{ItemIcon|Infernal Claw}} ({{ItemIcon|Ancient Claw}} + 10 {{ItemIcon|Infernal Core}}) is extremely good through ITM. {{Icon|Slicing Winds|type=spell}}/{{Icon|Gust|type=spell}} are highly effective. You might want to save this until after you've knocked out {{ZoneIcon|Water God Dungeon}}, however, as full {{ItemIcon|Glacia God Helmet|Glacia armor}} makes this grind a breeze.

You will need about 46% DR to complete the dungeon. Notable drops include:

* {{ItemIcon|Deadeye Amulet}} - BiS for Ranged
* {{ItemIcon|Stormsnap}} - Situationally useful, but almost mandatory for farming Ocean Song
* {{ItemIcon|Aeris God Helmet|Aeris}} God Gear - Ranged BiS. Save at least 10 for Unhallowed Wasteland glove upgrades ({{ItemIcon|Poison Virulence Gloves}})
* {{ItemIcon|Deadeye Ring}} - Save at least 10 for Unhallowed Wasteland ring upgrades ({{ItemIcon|Poison Virulence Ring}})

{{ItemIcon|Silver Diamond Ring}} can be used for 1% DR, but {{ItemIcon|Ring of Wealth}} or {{ItemIcon|Aorpheat's Signet Ring}} are preferred for the chance of double loot. Shields are required to reach DR% thresholds in the late game, so you cannot use a two-handed [[Ranged#Bows_2|Bow]]. It is recommended to use {{ItemIcon|Emerald Bolts}} with {{ItemIcon|Ancient Crossbow}}, however, having a worse bow or worse bolts will just slow down your runs, not lose them. {{ItemIcon|Diamond Bolts}} can be used, but diamonds are rare and will also be used for other items down the line.

Why clear Water God Dungeon?

According to the simulator:

  • If you want the full Armour set, then you need to clear the dungeon 91 times for 75% of that happening or 192 times for 95%.
  • If you want the full set and Stormsnap, then it's 277 times for 75% and 576 times for 95%.

Gear

It's recommended to beat the Water God Dungeon with Ranged equipment, since enemies here are Magical and Melee, due to the Combat Triangle.

Item Slot DR%
Aeris God Helmet Head 8%
Aeris God Platebody Body 8%
Aeris God Platelegs Leggings 8%
Aeris God Boots Boots 8%
Aeris God Gloves Hands 8%
Subtotal 40%
Infernal Cape Cape 4%
Fury of the Elemental Zodiacs Neck 3%
Ring of Wealth Ring 0%
Dragonfire Shield Off-hand 8%
Total 55%

Check your own setup with Can I Idle to check if you meet the HP requirements.

Silver Diamond Ring can be used for 1% DR, but Ring of Wealth or Aorpheat's Signet Ring are preferred for the chance of double loot. If you have not obtained Fury of the Elemental Zodiacs then Elite Amulet of Defence is recommended for 2% DR.

Shields are required to reach DR% thresholds in the late game, so you cannot use a two-handed Bow. It is recommended to use Emerald Bolts with Ancient Crossbow, however, having a worse bow or worse bolts will just slow down your runs, not lose them. Diamond Bolts can be used, but diamonds are rare and will also be used for other items down the line.
