PAGENAME is a skill which allows the player to craft runes using Rune Essence, as well as Magic equipment from runes and logs. Runes can be used in Magic for casting spells, or in Herblore for making potions. All Runecrafting actions takes 2 seconds. Purchasing the Expanded Knowledge god upgrade reduces this time by 15% to 1.7 seconds.

Runecrafting is a skill in which the player crafts runes from Rune Essence gathered using the Mining skill.
The amount of runes created per action increases with the Mastery level of the runes being created. This can be increased by an additional 5 with the 95% Mastery pool checkpoint, or 2 if using the Crow familiar. Elemental Potions can be used to provide a 5-50% chance to obtain 2-8 additional random elemental runes each time runes are crafted, where the chance and amount runes given increases with the tier of the potion used.

Raising Runecrafting to PAGENAME will unlock the Runecrafting Skillcape for purchase from the Shop. Equipping the Runecrafting Skillcape provides a +35% Chance to preserve Runecrafting resources.

Combination runes can be used in the place of spells that need both of the appropriate runes. For example, Mist Rune can be used for any spell that normally needs both Air Rune and Water Rune to cast.
