Relevancy of Money Making Guides

There has been discussions towards the relevancy and accuracy both of the money making guides on this wiki. Suggestions have been that most of the money making guides are outdated, no longer used or no longer required (especially at the point where a player has Township fully upgraded).

To gain consensus on how to move forward regarding the improvement or deletion of some/all money making guides, I ask people to give their input regarding this topic, and to provide a stance towards the removal or improvement of the guides.

My proposals

  1. Keep available guides, unless they are obviously redundant. There should be guides available exclusively to base game, for people who only have the base game.
  2. Improve on accuracy of the guides by simulating (via --game.testForOffline) and using the input and output items as information, rather than exclusively providing a static monetary value.
  3. Add a monetary value for using only the "Required" equipment and a monetary value for using all "Recommended" equipment listed by the guide. This to remove potential reader confusion or disappointment when they can't reach the advertised maximum value, but instead give them a range of monetary gain they will always match.
  4. Add a banner at the top of a guide suggesting that the profit may not be accurate if the player doesn't have all "Recommended" equipment available, and the ratio for profit earned isn't linear to how much of the "Recommended" equipment is used. This again to avoid confusion and disappointment when a reader isn't able to match the monetary value advertised.
  5. Template all money making guides (mostly copy-paste) to use Template:MoneyMakingGuide/doc. This allows for standardization in guides, auto updates values (should these ever change), and allows to collect all money making guides in a table-like overview. The latter allows a user to search for guides based on profit, dlc, requirements, etc.
