For this strategy you have to buy the Gem Gloves in the shop. These gloves give you a 100% chance of getting a gem each time you mine an ore. Given that the gloves cost 250 gp per charge and you get an average of 423 gp per gem you mine, this can quickly lead to some nice profits. Same as with the mining dragon ore strategy, you need to equip the best possible pickaxe because this increases your mining speed, and get as high a mastery as possible because this improves the amount of gems you can get from a rock before it has to heal. | |||
I suggest mining coal and not selling the coal. This is because you will inevitably needs tons of the stuff so you might as well get it while you are making money, and because this ore has a reasonably fast respawn time.. This will of course slightly lower your profits, but not enough to really matter. | |||
