Each skilling action has a mastery level associated with it. This mastery level gains experience each time you do that action. The mastery level gives bonuses to that action. For example with [[Farming]], above mastery level 50 a crop doesn't need compost anymore. And with [[Cooking]] above mastery level 15 gives you the ability to queue 50 items with one click.
