Hitpoints

The Hitpoints skill determines the maximum amount of Hitpoints the player can have and their passive regeneration rate.

Mechanics

Increasing Max Hitpoints

For each Hitpoints level the player has, their maximum hitpoints will be increased by 10, to a maximum of 990 at level 99.

There are also several other boosts which can increase the player's maximum hitpoints:

Name Type Boost
Dragonfire Shield Equipment +30 Maximum Hitpoints
Finn, the Cat Pet +10 Maximum Hitpoints
Mud Dive Agility Obstacle +20 Maximum Hitpoints
Cliff Balance Agility Obstacle +20 Maximum Hitpoints
Rocky Waters Agility Obstacle +50 Maximum Hitpoints
Raft Building Agility Obstacle +20 Maximum Hitpoints
Ice Jump Agility Obstacle +20 Maximum Hitpoints
Total +170 Maximum Hitpoints

Hitpoints experience can be earned by dealing damage to Monsters. 0.133 XP is awarded per point of damage done to a monster. This experience can be increased by 7% by equipping the Gold Emerald Ring.

Recovering Hitpoints

Hitpoints are passively regenerated once every 10 seconds, with 1% of your max health being gained per interval by default. This can be increased by an additional +10 if the File:Hitpoints Skillcape (item).png Hitpoints Skillcape is equipped, +6 when the Shaman Ring is equipped, and +50 when the Pillar of Combat Agility Pillar is active. In Adventure mode, these flat regeneration amounts scale to +100, +60, and +500 respectively.

Equipping the Gold Ruby Ring increases this amount (including any flat bonuses) by +10%, and using the Unicorn familiar increases by +50% (with many Unicorn synergies providing additional regeneration bonuses). The Rapid Heal Prayer further increases the resulting amount by +100%. Regeneration Potions provide a 30-150% chance to double the amount. These multiplicative bonuses may stack.

The amount of Hitpoints regenerated can be calculated as follows: [math]\displaystyle{ \text{HP Regenerated} = \left \lfloor \left ( \frac{\text{Player Maximum HP}}{100} + \text{Flat Regeneration Bonus} \right ) \times \left ( 1 + \frac{\text{% Regeneration Bonus}}{100} \right ) \right \rfloor }[/math]

Hitpoints may also be replenished by eating Food. Raising Hitpoints to Hitpoints Level 99 will unlock the File:Hitpoints Skillcape (item).png Hitpoints Skillcape for purchase from the Shop.

Hardcore characters will not regenerate hitpoints passively and must eat in order to regain lost HP.

Skillcape

The skillcape can be purchased from the store for Coins.svg 1,000,000 after the player reaches Hitpoints Level 99.

Skillcape Name Requirements Effect

Superior Hitpoints Skillcape Superior Hitpoints Skillcape Hitpoints Level 120 +15 Flat Hitpoints Regeneration
