====Requirements====

This Dungeon essentially depends on using the {{ItemIcon|Wasteful Ring}}, since it reduces the need for DR% by 7 or 8 points.

The following assumes the player is max level {{Skill|Hitpoints|HP}}.

Having {{PetIcon|Finn}} does not make a difference for the following, coincidentally, and thus could replace the need for the last HP level.

====Extra DR====

====Extra DR====
An {{ItemIcon|Earth Layered Shield}} (ELS) is better than a {{ItemIcon|Dragonfire Shield}} (DFS), but is arguably harder to get. The ELS requires a total of 64% DR, the DFS requires a total of 62% DR.

*An {{ItemIcon|Earth Layered Shield}} (ELS) has higher DR than a {{ItemIcon|Dragonfire Shield}} (DFS) or a {{ItemIcon|Scaled Shield}}, but is arguably harder to get. Note that DFS also increases your HP.
* Note that the ELS gives 4% extra DR by itself, effectively reducing the extra requirement.

The rest of this guide is NOT for your first clear, your average clear, or even your first 100 clears. This is purely to maximize scrolls for any missing items. This will assume the Standard Mode [[Combat Triangle]], 99 in all skills, access to nearly all weapons and items in the game, and access to all DR and HP pets. This assumes you are (unless otherwise noted) using an optimal Agility setup, are using your best dps prayers, your best summoning synergy, and are using {{ItemIcon|Diamond Luck Potion IV|Diamond Luck Potions}}

Alternatively, to use a bit less food at no cost to scroll and chest acquisition, you can swap {{ItemIcon|Wasteful Ring}} for {{ItemIcon|Guardian Ring}}, {{ItemIcon|Aeris God Helmet}} for {{ItemIcon|Slayer Cowl (Master)}}, and {{ItemIcon|Deadeye Amulet}} for {{ItemIcon|Fury of the Elemental Zodiacs|FEZ}}.

 +
This build uses {{Icon|Fire Surge|type=spell}}, {{Icon|Anguish III|type=curse}}, and {{Icon|Surge II|type=aurora}}.

====Weapon====
+
To use this method, you need to have 1040 HP and 68 DR. This is achieved by using {{ItemIcon|Damage Reduction Potion IV}} instead of {{ItemIcon|Diamond Luck Potion IV|Diamond Luck Potions}}.
For the weapon, {{ItemIcon|Ancient Crossbow}} is a good choice. Use {{ItemIcon|Emerald Bolts}} because you will need {{ItemIcon|Diamond}} for potions.

====Notes====
+
This clocks in around 21 to 22 scrolls per hour, depending on your access to {{ItemIcon|Shield of Magic Power}}, and depending slightly on your {{Skill|Astrology}} bonuses
If you haven't ground out a {{ItemIcon|Fury of the Elemental Zodiacs}} yet, you could use {{ItemIcon|Elite Amulet of Defence}} instead, with only 1% DR loss.

You can get up to 1100 hp through agility, reducing the total dr% requirement with Wasteful Ring to 56% (the -2% dr one is not worth it). Without Wasteful Ring, get it up to 1120 HP at the cost of two DR%, and you will only need 64% dr.

Revision as of 20:53, 24 June 2022

This page is out of date (v1.0.4).

Manual Build

You might want to manually go through the Fire God Dungeon (dungeon).svg Fire God Dungeon if you want to get the Art of Control (upgrade).svg Art of Control as soon as possible.

The idea is to idle everything but the Cataclysm attack of Ragnar (monster).svg Ragnar. Use Can I Idle to check if you can do it. You want to be able to tank everything else to reduce the chance of death.

The spell of choice is either 20k-accuracy Slicing Winds (spell).svg Slicing Winds or Gust (spell).svg Gust if you unlocked it. With them, you don't have to worry about the long fights because these spells won't miss if they're fired at accuracy of 20k or higher.

The Scaled Shield (item).png Scaled Shield is used to increase your DPS. If you don't have enough HP, Dragonfire Shield (item).svg Dragonfire Shield might be a good option.

You can use Magic Wand (Powerful) (item).svg Magic Wand (Powerful) if you don't have its Magic Wand (Elite) (item).svg Elite version.

Idle Build

It's recommended to beat the Fire God Dungeon with Ranged, since enemies here are all melee and magic, due to the Combat Triangle.

Requirements

Ranged Ranged Wasteful Ring (item).svg Magic Magic Wasteful Ring (item).svg
Hardcore.svg 1,000 Hitpoints (skill).svg HP 71% 64% 70% 66%
Hardcore.svg 1,100 Hitpoints (skill).svg HP 66% 56% 67% 62%
1,000 Hitpoints (skill).svg HP 56% 53% 70% 66%
1,100 Hitpoints (skill).svg HP 54% 50% 67% 62%

Extra DR

  • Yak (item).svg Yak summons gives +1% DR
  • Yak (item).svg Yak and Witch (item).svg Witch or Yak (item).svg Yak and Centaur (item).svg Centaur grants +2% DR (for a total of +3%) vs Ignis (monster).svg Ignis or Ignis (monster).svg Ignis, the monster that is closest to killing you as Ranged and Magic respectively.
  • Agility (skill).svg Agility can give a large amount of extra HP and DR%

Maximized Farming

The rest of this guide is NOT for your first clear, your average clear, or even your first 100 clears. This is purely to maximize scrolls for any missing items. This will assume the Standard Mode Combat Triangle, 99 in all skills, access to nearly all weapons and items in the game, and access to all DR and HP pets. This assumes you are (unless otherwise noted) using an optimal Agility setup, are using your best dps prayers, your best summoning synergy, and are using Diamond Luck Potion IV (item).svg Diamond Luck Potions

Ranged

This build runs a fine line between alive and dead, tradeoffs may be necessary for your setup to survive.

Cape of Prat (item).svg Cape of Prat is marginally faster than Maximum Skillcape (item).svg Maximum Skillcape, but as it more than doubles your ammo expenditure, it is not recommended.

This clocks in around 19 to 20 scrolls per hour, depending slightly on your Astrology (skill).svg Astrology bonuses

Consumables:

Alternatively, to use a bit less food at no cost to scroll and chest acquisition, you can swap Wasteful Ring (item).svg Wasteful Ring for Guardian Ring (item).svg Guardian Ring, Aeris God Helmet (item).svg Aeris God Helmet for Slayer Cowl (Master) (item).svg Slayer Cowl (Master), and Deadeye Amulet (item).svg Deadeye Amulet for Fury of the Elemental Zodiacs (item).svg FEZ.

Magic

This build uses Fire Surge (spell).svg Fire Surge, Anguish III (curse).svg Anguish III, and Surge II (aurora).svg Surge II.

To use this method, you need to have 1040 HP and 68 DR. This is achieved by using Damage Reduction Potion IV (item).svg Damage Reduction Potion IV instead of Diamond Luck Potion IV (item).svg Diamond Luck Potions.

This clocks in around 21 to 22 scrolls per hour, depending on your access to Shield of Magic Power (item).png Shield of Magic Power, and depending slightly on your Astrology (skill).svg Astrology bonuses

Consumables:
