Q: What are barrier monsters?
:A: Unlike in the base game, most {{AoD}} monsters have a unique defence in the form of {{Icon|Barrier|Barriers}} which require you to use summoning to kill them. You will need to explore {{Skill|Archaeology}} to find the ingredients needed to overcome these monsters, and this in turn will require you to explore {{Skill|Cartography}}.
: Barrier monsters are immune to standard weapons, but as the game progresses you will discover upgrades that allow you to clear dungeons and monsters more easily.
