Completing the Air God Dungeon is necessary in order to challenge the Water God Dungeon. In addition, completing the dungeon for the first time will unlock the ability to purchase the Perpetual Haste upgrade from the Shop for 50000000 which decreases the base Crafting and Fletching action times by 20%.

It's recommended to beat the Air God Dungeon with Melee equipment, since enemies here are Ranged and Melee, due to the Combat Triangle.
Given a melee build, you need 1020 HP and 42% Damage Reduction to be able to fully idle this dungeon, provided you have enough food to replenish your health and Auto Eat - Tier III.

Note that since you only need 42% DR to beat the dungeon with 1020 HP, you can swap out some of the secondary items. With 46% you can do the whole thing with 950 HP instead, and you should have access to all these items by now. It's widely recommended to use Sunset Rapier as your main weapon at these dungeons, but in the end this only improves your clearing speed.
Also note you might be interested in using Aorpheat's Signet Ring for higher drop chances.
